How can I submit my CD to your catalog? Simple, fill out the New Artist Registration Form You can fill out all of your band information and your IDN Band Web Page is automatically created. Once that's done, you can ship your product to our head office in Phoenix, Arizona. We require 6 CDs (or tapes, or vinyl or books - whatever music product you want to sell). 1 CD will be used for IDN promotional purposes, the other 5 are for IDN sale. Ship to: Mike Bolenbach, Distribution DirectorWhat style of music do you accept? All genres, all styles. We accept everything from death thrash metal to country to children's music to jazz to industrial. We accept CDs, vinyl and shrink-wrapped cassettes. All material submitted must be professionally packaged. This means no home-burned CDs or tapes. How much does it cost to be in the catalog? Nothing. The IDN is a free organization for bands and we list your music, soundclips and band information for free too. Please note that we accept music on a consignment basis only. There are no exceptions to this rule so please don't request it. The answer is always no. How much money do I get for each CD sold? $6 US per Full Length CD soldWe consider a release to be full length if it has 9 or more songs or is longer than 45 minutes in total. We do accept other music products such as books and videos but pricing is different. Please contact Distribution Director, Mike Bolenbach for specifics on double CD pricing and other inquiries. [email protected]. When do I get paid? Payments are forwarded to bands each quarter (January 15, March 15, June 15 and September 15) if product was sold. How do I get paid? A check drawn from the IDN's bank in Phoenix AZ will be made payable to each band (or individual or label) who has CD sales for any particular quarter. We do not make payments in cash so please ensure that Distribution Director, Mike Bolenbach knows who to make the check out to. I'm a label, can I send product too? Of course, we accept product from all bands, artists, independent labels or promotion companies. You are welcome to submit your entire roster of artists or just one or two. As noted above, we make no exceptions to the 'consignment only' rule. This applies to labels and music companies as well as individual artists and bands. What about foreign exchange rates? All catalog sales are conducted in US funds and as such, payments to bands and artists are also made in US funds. Contests & Giveaways As you may have noticed, the IDN frequently gives away free CDs to draw people to the website. We host many contests of this nature and any bands wishing to offer free CDs or other merchandise (hats, shirts, etc.), please contact Mike Bolenbach at [email protected] |
