Numan continues to mine electro-dance ground that was first broken during the mid-'80s by acts like Depeche Mode and Erasure. His obvious reverence for the sound is appealing, as is the song's hauntingly dark mediation on love gone wrong. With all the world starved for retro-minded fodder, the timing could not be better for this slickly produced twirler. |
