The Transylvania Two-Step
Wampyhri is the term for vampires and
the name of a Hamilton rock trio. And
as the moniker suggests, there's more
than a fair bit of Gothic influence
in the groups sonic makeup, as a
listen to its self-titled debut CD
reveals. While the disc is built around
a hard rock core, there are overlays of
synthesized washes, heavily echoed
vocal tracks, and additional automated
percussion tracks that make the group
sound equally at home with headbangers
and people in black alike.
