| The Heavily Skillbillies began their life in the late 80s when Moses (guitar/vocals/tabletsmasher) ploughed into Richie (drums/percussion/skunkybong) with a sliding tackle during a school football match. JC (vocals/samples/decks/iron cross) appeared not long after, whilst being pursued by an insane marine. After two misguided years of Rock (and/or Roll), the 'Skillbillies to be ventured into Spirit Studio (Manchester) under the name of Red 5 in urgent need of a replacement for their current bass player. Here they met the current bassist John Lee A.K.A. Bassola (of all bass). The band gigged and recorded as Canteena until a food establishment in Manchester stole their name. Jud (drums/percussion/vocals/spatula) has been recording with the Skillbillies for about a year but has finally joined the band. Richie meanwhile has just returned from his one man crusade around the world (shown below). The skillbillies have recent success with there song "Crazy Man" that was used on a Swedish Jeans Advert. |
