The Binder Stiffs, formed in 1989 under the name Sister Raisin, have built an amazing catalog of offbeat simple tracks presented in a lively and interesting fashion.
Sometimes dubbed CARTOON CORE, the group continues to push forward hell bent on creating an original sound. The sound of the group has gone through many changes over the years while always building on a feeling captured by instinctively following a formula of sad saga with pity and enlightenment sparked by dashes of humor.
Throughout time the line-up has shifted upwards of twenty times. Each line-up always includes members who bring their own quirky brand and delightful skills to each period of the groups music. Starting as a solo project, migrating to a three piece, and descending once again to a solo effort, The Binder Stiffs have always had an open door policy inviting fresh members to contribute to the advancement of the group. Under strict tyranny only one member has remained the same.
