| Four in number, funky in rhythm, SiMent fuses every known musical genre together and makes it sound good, forming -- you guessed it -- infectious pop. We're not sure what infectious is, but we DO know that we are. Based out of New Haven, CT, SiMent was formed 4 years ago and is quickly garnering attention in the local music scene. SiMent has updated its music to be fully Y2K compliant. |

Maybe the addition of SiMent to that bill will balance out the negativity in the names. Frontman Dave is sure that for their first "big" show (since they were a no-show at a recent Tune Inn night) they'll be even less scary than usual:
"We've filed down our teeth so all we can do is gnaw." He's being silly, but SiMent always is. The band's tentative plans for the show include having "a bunch of 4- or 5-year-old children bring us our instruments on stage," apparently suggested by guitarist Jay, or setting up a "wheel of random chords that will help us decide what to play." Oh yeah, there'll be songs too--"songs about girls. All aspects of girls."
