Ringleader is a 4-piece rock band based in the Washington D.C. area. Using a guitar based sound as its focus, Ringleader has enjoyed many positive reviews of its recorded material. It's latest CD Single, "What He Says" produced by noted Producer Jim Ebert, is available on CDBaby.com in CDR format. It is also available for download purchase in e-stores such as Apple's iTunes and Napster.
Formed in 2003 mainly as a studio project by Chris Brownelle and Lena Esposito, Ringleader spent its first two years focusing on writing and recording original material. Upon release of its Demo "No Slide Guitar" in 2005, Ringleader began playing live at Northern Virginia venues such as IOTA Club and Cafe, Jammin' Java, TT Reynolds and Fat Tuesdays. In 2007, Ringleader formed it's own publishing subsidiary, Get Ringleadermusic Publishing (ASCAP). Working in conjunction with several accredited publishing houses, Ringleader plans to license songs for upcoming film and TV placements. Ringleader songs have already been incorporated into the following publishing companies' libraries: Featured Sounds (credits include placements on HBO and MTV), Noteborn Music (Spike TV) and Songs With Visions (CNN, Discovery Channel).
Also in 2007 Ringleader added Dean and then Eddie to its lineup. Dean played bass in various bands in the Florida area upon moving to the DC area in 2006. Eddie played drums in several bands around the DC area before joining Ringleader.
Ringleader will continue to play live throughout the year in addition to beginning a new recording project in the Fall. |

From Philadelphiaathome.com .....the bands' obviously firm grasp on beautiful pop sensibilities is quickly showcased through Esposito's exceptional vocal aesthetic.
Think mid-80's and early 90's pop, think Lilith Fair, think a pop rock band that's as good as anyone you currently listen to (if not better). The only problem is you haven't heard about Ringleader yet. Oh wait, yes you have. Now enjoy.
From Collected Sounds There's an air of a little Brit Pop here. There's also a teensy bit of a 80s throwback sound. This is a good thing for me.......The songs are very catchy. They really stayed with me. They play around with rhythms and tempos and it makes a really nice record From Opening Bands ..... if you dig '90s alternative pop with a pint of sass and a solid dose of catchy melodic tunes, you have hit the jackpot.
From Download.com Fans of the alt-pop sounds of No Doubt will thrill to the sounds of Ringleader. Angelic vocalist Lena Esposito is more Sarah McLaughlin than Avril Lavine, while the music has the smart songwriting edge of Lisa Loeb. Ringleader is the one to watch in this modern pop circus.
From Smother.net ......Ringleader has a firm grasp on everything that is pop and all that's in between. Honestly honing a catchy pop mainstream feel and shining it up to deliver some real great goods.
From Aiding & Abetting Rousing, aggressive AOR-style rock. Takes me back to the mid-80s. New Mexico, mullets and cheap beer. But that's my story. Ringleader is much more sophisticated than that, but these rock anthems are still cheese at heart. Not that I'm complaining. A trip to the past is always fun, especially when the music is as ostensibly modern as this.
From Clickspin.com If your taste is smart writing & crisp musical delivery, then ringleader is for you.
From Impact Press Solid female vocals pour out over mainstream power pop. ....displays Ringleader's ability to write catchy tunes
From Pulseweekly.com ......All the songs are catchy, and they bubble with pop excitement. |
