In 2001, two friends Alex Sistarenik and Doug Baumann discovered their ability to write engaging, thoughtful songs and perform them with intriguing vocal harmonies. They quickly gained notice as an acoustic act, performing locally in northern New Jersey. As their songwriting continued to evolve, the desire to expand musically demanded additions to the group. Groove-oriented bass player Gavin Moore, and Anthony DeVizio, a highly proficient rock drummer, brought their skills and creativity to the band.
Alex, Doug, Gavin and Anthony, performing under the name Requisition, deliver a compelling live presentation. They can rock with high intensity, or create a captivating moody groove that casts a spell over the house. The thoughtful lyrics and pristine vocal harmonies that were the hallmark of the acoustic duo remain the driving force in this cutting-edge quartet.
World-renowned musician and producer Omar Hakim (Sting, David Bowie, Madonna, Weather Report and many others) took notice of the group and is currently producing their first album project, slated for release in 2005.
While working on the project, Requisition is continuing to perform, primarily on the east coast of the United States. |
