The JIHAD Biography Of Peace "
...As a child I knew better, when I became a man I began know no worse!" In a land that has it's own style of music, a child who was inspired by God, influenced by his street, and attached to his radio was blessed. He was the only boy in the family to be raised and in the land that borned him, rap wasn't the dominant music. Unfortunately, this child grew as a starving artist, where the streets that influenced him changed for the worse.
Peace says, "I came into manhood with the devil speaking into my ear. I soon identified this devil as Daddy Boo, a man of the streets and a man about money. A spiritual creature that has no power, but to influence..."
He began to get frustrated because he was getting nowhere fast in the group he was in.
"I sold drugs, met and hung wit thugs who wanted to rap, and always wanted to be private about my women when I could. The thing that made it so foul was that being a fake Muslim was my cover up. I was being Rick all along (the name I was given), but I wanted people to call me Peace. I wanted the Peace in the group to be the Peace in my life!
" Peace is no longer is involved in the streets (at least in that manner) because he now tries to give back what he took from it.
He states, "Abdul-Salaam-Hughes will be my name and PEACE is what I strive for through JIHAD. Rappers wanna represent negative things they've never been. Is what they see, what they wanna be? I've been there done that to the extent of what has happen in my life. If I give you fiction, I'll let you know if it's fiction or not!"
Mr. Jihad is now a real Muslim, husband, father, emcee, poet, video producer, and writer. Peace the "Rap JIHADIAN" represents romance and tragedy...the struggle... and the people who cipher to ENLIGHTEN, EMPOWER, and UPLIFT! The man has a Unique Poetical Rap Style, called "JIHAD." It's a flow, like a Pausing wind fighting for justice only if it's God's will! Not another Tupac or DMX please! The Project, makes you think Poetry In Motion, because of it's Deep Lyrics of Emotion, Pounding Beats and Motivational Music! "JIHAD" means One's Constant Struggle To Fight For What's Right Governed By The Will Of ALLAH.
