They will “Take you by the hand and drag you through the sound....”. They are straight out of the depths of Brisbane's live Rock & Roll scene. They are Pacesetter. The band has evolved in their two years together not only as a strong group of friends, but as a hardworking collective of likeminded musicians. A set full of hair-swinging, toe-tapping rock along with the showmanship and electric performance of each individual band member is the least to expect from a Pacesetter show. Playing alongside acts such as Butterfingers, Gazoonga Attack, King Mungi, Platform 6 The Beautiful Few (Melb) and Van Lustbader, Pacesetter have developed a fan base far beyond expectations of a two year following.
Drawing from such influences as You Am I, Something for Kate and Incubus, the guys have seemed to have somehow moulded each influence into a diversive mix that attracts punters from all styles of listenership. Venues such as The Zoo, The Alley Bar, Griffith Uni. O-Week, Woodford Folk Festival, Edinburgh Castle and Satellite Festival have been just a few of the many opportunities in which Pacesetter have performed.
With a catalogue of enough songs to record three albums and always growing, along with radio play on 4zzz, Pacesetter will never stop, knowing that in some far off place, the fans are waiting for a gig where the show will never end and Pacesetter will never have to say “thankyou, and goodnight”. |

"...the boys aren't afraid to rock it out on stage with the confidence of bands many years their senior. They've got the kind of sound that suits many flavours and their stage presence exudes style and coolness. The guys pumped out a set of powerful and catchy crowd-pleasing pop-rock tunes, proving their band name is no façade. Pacesetter gave the crowd a professional yet intimate set that was electric and entertained at the same time, and at the end of the day, this might well be what sets them apart from the many pop-rock bands that spring up in Brisbane...” (Dianne Lehman-Fuzzine)
