Nadir are a heavy groovecore band originally from New Zealand where they have played shows with the Deftones, the Melvins and on the Warped Tour 99'. Nadir have released two independent albums, and have built up a huge following by constant touring. They are now living in Australia and intend to build on their following by playing more of the intense, energy packed shows they are known for. |

The instrumentation is rich for a three-piece and the energy level is on overload. Nadir's live performances must be fantastic on the back of a disc like this and I'd be suprised if they don't get support from JJJ on this one. If you get a chance to see this band in action, I would advise it- they are hot. Perhaps a few more years will prove that you don't have to go to the Korns and Limp Bizkits of the world for heavy rock with attitude. Australia has Nadir and we're doing just fine thank-you. - Stephen Green - Music Biz(Australia)
"Turn it up and listen to your stereo shit itself. The vocals reach out and raise the hairs on your neck, the bass shook the budgie of the perch and the guitars are just looking for trouble. Like a dentist's drill breaking through enamel and searching for a raw nerve to obliterate, they just keep at it until something gives. Then you hit the roof, crashing down as a nitrous and terror induced wreck." - Loudmouth (Australia)
"All in all, NADIR needs to come to the United States, latch onto a festival tour and get some recognition for the music they are creating. Since the Ozzfest '98 lineup has yet to impress me, I'd vote for a second stage slot for them. If that happened, there might suddenly be a lot more NADIR fans than Deftone fans." - Paul Hanson - Consumable(US) |
