Mardy Lucier-Porte is continuously spiralling, like a circular staircase round a central axis ascending onto yet, another plateau for the recording artist. The launch of a solo career "Nimkiikaa" is the title of the recording artists debut solo CD. "Nimkiikaa" translates into english from the ojibway language, (it is thundering). That is exactly what Mardy is doing with his debut CD. To rumble musically like thunder onto the Music scene and to his loyal fans from a previous extraordinary musical history.
Mardy Lucier-Porte and his first solo efforts defies definition, there are no road maps for his musical journey. A warm acoustical fusion of cultures and musical styles presented by a powerful original musical warrior, harnessing a formidable array of unadulterated influences.

The INSTRUMENTALIST,VOCALIST,and COMPOSER transpires viably in song as he does pertainng to the business of music. A twenty two year veteran member of the SOCIETY of COMPOSERS, AUTHORS and MUSIC PUBLISHERS of CANADA. He also has had the priviledge of judging for the CANADIAN ACADEMY of RECORDING ARTS and SCIENCES. (CARAS) a.K.a. THE JUNO AWARDS and is still a member in good standing. He is now also a two year member of the prestigious (S.A.C) THE SONG WRITERS ASSOCIATION of CANADA.
Exceeding adolescence,and turning age ten he was expressing direction and had already represented the ONTARIO CONSERVATORY of MUSIC as a solo guitarist. You could say he had his first introductory professional gig under his proverial little belt. Mardy had Played to an audience of three to four hundred people. Resulting in starting so young, the next quarter century has displayed longevity and endurance to and fro accomplishing involvements and playing on a series of CD's the most recent, "SHAMAN". The leader and founder/creative genious of two rock bands "ZOROCK" and most recent "RAINDANCE" in retrospect comes from TELEVISION, PRODUCING, ENGINEERING, MANAGING VIDEO'S, RADIO, MUSIC SCORES, ACTING, SESSION WORK, MUSIC RESEARCH ASSISTANT for "The Essential CONTACT", a music trade publication that is CANADA's MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY DIRECTRY and now debuting a SOLO CAREER that concludes a genuine, well deserved new CD.
