Singer/Songwriter Jean*Ann was born in Cleveland, OH and cites country music as her earliest musical memory. She remembers hearing her dad & his brothers playing guitar & singing Johnny Cash at family gatherings on the weekends. Religious music also became an early influence as she grew up singing at Church functions throughout her school years.
Moving to South Florida at the age of 10 opened up a whole new world of influences, and the result is a rich blend that forms who she is as an artist & writer today. Her music is not so much defined by style, but rather by the passion she brings to each song and performance. Full of energy and personality, Jean*Ann brightens up a room just by walking in.
Jean*Ann took top honors in the Christian category of the 2003 Great American Song Contest. She also wrote & performs the theme song for a weekly series on a worldwide TV network.
She currently lives in Nashville, TN with her husband & business partner Joe Hand (joehand.com) and their mini-poodle-mutt Boo, where she continues to write, record, and tour.
