Formed in early 1999, Handful emerged from the vast San Diego punk scene, and has since cultivated a loyal following throughout California. Producing mammoth sounds despite being just a trio, Handful's live performances have a tendency to take over the audience wherever the venue. Handful has performed regularly throughout San Diego and Southern California.
Handful's off the hook, revolutionary blend of hip-hop, reggae, punk, dub, and dancehall has made them a versatile act, playing from reggae fests to punk shows and playing shows with VH1's Soulcracker, Agent 51, Life Hates Me, and Lot 13 among many, many others. In May, 2001, the band was interviewed by Tim Pyles and the 91X crew, live on the air, during a 91X-loudspeaker show at the Casbah in San Diego.
Handful has recently released their debut CD entitled real american cheese. “Ga peach” has been featured as the “go loco song of the day” on 92.1, as well as receiving consistent airtime on both 92.1 and 91X during their local shows. In fact only 2 out of the 13 songs have not received airtime. |

“Tired of the standard Rap/Metal/Punk that's filtering through the radio? Want to hear something refreshing? Handful plays a funky sublime-ish style of music that borrows from all genres while still sounding new. Perfect for partying and dancing, Handful's music is irresistibly good.” -Kevin, Bandconnexion.com |
