Mr. Cyrano-
This is a terrific record, unabashed acoustic folk in a very electric age. Makes it sound a little edgy and risky, even. Excellent songwriting and fine hooks, which bring a lot of classic tunes to mind but don't rip anyone off. I particularly like the sophisticated attack in the songs, poking deep into love and life and totally avoiding the "oh ain't love grand" simplicities...a thoughtful and tuneful album. We likes. Ciao - Linus Home-Office Records I'm most struck in the first listen by the variety and the relaxed feel. Listenable, playful, loose... David Roth, Seattle |
