| Dorothy Wallace hails from Brentwood, New York right smack in the middle of Long Island. Dorothy spent her childhood years relatively silent due to a childhood phobia called “Selective Mutism”. Around the same time she got over her fear of her own voice, she discovered she could carry a tune. She started playing guitar and writing songs in her teens and enjoyed it so much, she decided to pursue music as a career. While searching for her own sound, she released an EP and 45 of pretty heavy rock and roll tunes. Dorothy has mellowed out a bit, preferring her own brand of country, folk and gospel influenced rock. Her recent cd “Hand of God” was recorded in honor of Dorothy's Mom, Margaret Wallace, who died of ovarian cancer in 1997. The “Hand of God” cd contains 11 songs that revolve around the theme of personal strength through faith and spirituality. |
