Born in Londonderry N/Ireland Derek has been in the
Music Biz for some 20 years but since finding God
in 1997 now writes and performs only Christian
Based Music.
Now residing in the US he writes with fiance Dixie Vornbrock a blend of Country/Christian Country. With 3 CDs to date and another 2 due for release this year this dynamic writing partnership goes from strength to strength with new songs appearing almost daily. |

"I Believe" charts 23 in European Christian Country Chart
Derek McCorkell's "I Believe " Track from the "Made In Heaven" Album is getting big airplay all over Europe on FM & Cable Radio so much so that it has Charted in April 2005 at Number 23 in the European Christian Country Chart amongst Artists of the calibre of Randy Travis,Tim McGraw , Reba McIntire & Dolly Parton.
