| Clara Venus is a trio hailing from New York city's lower east side. The music is a sideways approach to straight-up rock and roll; strong songwriting with occasional guitar/feedback loops and a healthy attitude of nihilism. The result is an amalgamation of the bombast of the Stooges and AC/DC and the songcraft of Paul Westerberg and Frank Black. Live the band delivers all the elements of a well-honed pop song wrapped up in a souped-up barroom brawling package. |
